It is a by-product of the process of cold pressing fresh hemp seed into hemp seed oil. The seed is pressed, the oil is extracted and bottled, and what remains becomes hemp seed cake; a high quality flavour additive that contains only 4%-6% oil content. This change in chemistry allows a brewmaster to create an incredibly delicious beer without compromising the taste or appearance of the batch.
